Their are guided tours as well as children’s organised events.Įven though it was a winter Sunday afternoon, the museum had plenty of visitors, and it was good to hear French, German and polish being spoken. Their are plenty of interactive screens and information boards. Their are also some prized exhibitions, including the only working tiger tank in the world. For young and old alike, their is plenty to see and do. Their are four main areas which includes the main tank display hall, the world war 2 exhibition, and the Kuwait arena. Their is a well sign posted car park with mobility assistance parking close to the entrance. Located just off the Wool to Bere Regis road, and located close to MonkeyWorld, The tank museum is now a modern steel, glass and brick exhibition space, yet it fits into its surroundings well. ![]() Back then it was a group of Nissan huts deep in the Dorset countryside. The last time I visited the tank museum I was a teenager.
